추영진은 사건과 기록에 대한 관심으로, 일상적 관찰과 수집을 혼합해 정보 없는 장면을 만든다.
그녀는 우리가 바라보는 장면들 중 무엇이 진실, 현재, 그리고 거짓이라고 할 수 있는지에 대해 질문한다.
작가의 이미지는 대게 이미 발생한 사건 이후 덧입혀지는 새로운 정보이자 기록이다.
다만 그것들은 무엇을 보존했는지 명확히 드러낼 수 없으며, 오히려 기록의 행위가 얼마나 많은 것들을 누락시키는지를 가시화한다.


Through her interest in events and records, Choo Young-jin blends everyday observation and collection to create scenes devoid of information.
She questions what, among the scenes we observe, can be deemed truth, present, or falsehood.
The artist's images are often new information and records layered onto events that have already occurred.
However, they cannot clearly reveal what they have preserved; rather, they visualize how much the act of recording omits.
